Drew Vass has two decades of experience as a professional writer, editor, creative director and journalist. If it involves words and content development—or just about any facet of media—chances are, he's done it.
Vass’s leave-no-stone-unturned approach to reporting and honed writing skills have made him a go-to contributor for leading consumer and trade publications over the years, while his work as a creative copywriter and strategist on everything from branding, websites and video productions, to nationally publicized print, radio and TV ads, also earn him the label of creative "multi-tool” and director. As such, Vass’s work ventures from highly technical to highly creative, across most genres and forms of media. In 2010, he proved that versatility a step further, by adding songwriter to his list of personal accomplishments, debuting a 10-track solo album of homespun Americana music.
After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University, Vass’s experiences trail from legal editing and corporate communications, to staff writer, editor and business owner. After proving his hand in magazines, by propelling a small business-to-business publication through several years of unprecedented growth, he then forged a way for print to digital media by also working as a videographer, editor and startup producer for a network of video productions. His work has taken him to every corner and major city within the U.S., as well as across the world—writing, reporting, directing and collaborating. In 2010, he founded VASSmedia, while also making his segue onto newsstands through consumer publications. Today, his company’s clientele includes everything from small businesses, startups and local media producers, to large, nationwide publishers, agencies and corporations.
